The following is a letter from the Anglican Diocesan Secretary, responding to the donations to Christ the King School:
Thank you very much for inviting me to the presentation ceremony of
books, computers, etc. for Christ the King School, and at the same
time for me to have the privilege of witnessing the presentation of
similar items to Peter O’connor Community School at Gerehu Stage Five.
It was the first time for me as the Secretary of the Anglican Church
Diocese of Port Moresby to be given the honour to attend such an occasion. Thank you once again.
For the items presented to the Christ the King School, I transported
some of the lighter ones to our diocesan headquarters at Begabari near
Anglicare Centre. The rest of the school items will be transported out
over the coming weekend to the diocesan headquarters and to keep them
there until Bishop Denny Guka, the Diocesan Bishop of Port Moresby,
returns from Rome on 13th October, 2016. We will then organize a
presentation of these school items to Christ the King School’s Board
of Management in the presence of the Diocesan Bishop.
Apart from above, I also wish to take this opportunity to thank you
for the continual financial support from the O’connor Foundation,
managed by your company, to the Anglican Church Diocese of Port
Moresby for clergy children’s school fees and education expenses,
costs of teachers and additional support to assist Christ the King
School at ATS Settlement, and for support towards orphaned children at
Six Mile Settlement looked after by the Anglican Mothers’ Union members.
As I mentioned the three important areas of education project funded
by the O’connor Foundation and administered by the Anglican Church of
PNG through Anglican Diocese of Port Moresby, I wish to bring to your
attention the fourth quarter allocation of funds for the last term of
school this year, and which starts next Monday 3rd October. In light
of this, it would be helpful if the last quarter’s allocated funding
be made available to the Church during the week.
With every blessing.
Yours in His Service,
Amos Ralph Misirait
Diocesan Secretary
